HoH: Nando and Feza to rule

HoH: Nando and Feza to rule
All hail king Nando and her majesty Feza, the new rulers of the Big Brother kingdom.

Pretty boy Nando will be getting a chance to fill his grown man shoes on Monday when he takes the helm from current HoH Annabel. The always playful Diamond dude proved to be serious competition for his fellow Housemates in today’s HoH Task.

The Task saw the Housemates partaking in a game of darts. The Housemates had to stand on a marked spot in front of the dartboard and take turns one by one to throw a dart on the board. The Chasemate with the dart that is the closest to the bull’s eye is the one that was crowned Big Bro emperor.

Over in the Ruby House, lady luck smiled upon Feza once again. The Tanzanian already had a taste of the HoH power while she was in the Diamond House and thanks to good fortune she now is set to be the first Chasemate to rule in both Houses.

What do you think of the Tanzanians as Heads of House? Will it be a case of the second time being the charm for Feza? Will goofy Nando get it together to become a great leader?

Betty, Bolt, Elikem, Motamma, Nando, Natasha and Oneal are up for possible Eviction this week. Vote now to keep your favourite Housemate in the game.

Eye witness report: What really caused Wizkid’s million naira auto-crash

Posted by: DJ Hyper on June 21, 2013

Work-pics1420 In a country like 9ja, nothing can stay hidden for too long. A video and commentary has emerged revealing what really happened at the scene of the almost fatal Wizkid accident. The eyewitness says that the accident was not caused by another motorist as the initial story goes, rather; people on the scene say the expensive Porsche was spotted speeding down the Lekki-Epe Expressway towards the Lekki Tool gate when suddenly the front tire burst and resulting to the car twisting and spinning. The source says that Wizkid’s car spun around like three and four times before halting along the concrete sidewalk. Within seconds, the right side of his Porsche was shredded. The airbags had activated, keeping the passengers in the car safe. It wasn’t confirmed who was driving at the time of the accident. The witness continued by saying, ‘They got out immediately, Wizkid looked a little distressed but was okay, his bodyguard immediately grabbed a screwdriver and began removing the license plates‘, Minutes later, another vehicle was sighted at the scene of the accident and picked up Wizkid, while his bodyguard stayed put until a tow truck arrived to tow the crashed car. “MI couldn’t have spent N10m on the video of Chairman just to diss Olamide” – Publicist

MI Abaga’s publicist Oma Areh of Wild Flower PR, has strongly denied the rumours making the rounds, that MI recorded the Chairman song and shot the video, to get back at wave making rapper, Olamide.
According to some reports, trouble started after Olamide, reportedly mentioned a certain ‘chairman’ in his song, ‘Owotabua’, asking him to calm down. As a form of retaliation, MI is said to have done his ‘Chairman’ song. However, his publicist has now debunked those rumours.
“MI spent about N10m on the video,” she said. “He shot it in Los Angeles and they used two mansions, a private jet and various fancy cars. It took them three days to shoot the video. It is impossible for MI to diss Olamide, who said that? That is too cheap and impossible. It is not remotely possible.”

Why did Mr. President appoint Nollywood Star, Emeka Ike as ambassador?!?

emeka-ike-and-president-jonathan
Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike has been appointed a Rhythm ‘N’ Play Ambassador by President Goodluck Jonathan in recognition of his selfless service to humanity.
The ceremony was held last Thursday at the National Sports Stadium, Abuja. He was decorated alongside six other super stars including: Victor Moses, the Chelsea Football Club of England’s player, and Nigeria’s top music rapper M I.
As part of its nationwide grassroots sports development campaign, National Academicals Sports Committee (NASCOM) on June 6 got the Presidency backing for its noble initiative, when Mr. President launched Rhythm N’ Play in Abuja.
According to NASCOM Chairman, Yemi Idowu, Rhythm ‘N’ Play is an exciting youth-friendly campaign aimed at enhancing mass youth participation in sporting activities and age-grade competitions.

“There was the need to reposition sports in order to facilitate the mass participation and early discovery of young sporting talents at the grassroots.

At the Presidential Retreat held last year, NASCOM was identified as a key component of government’s efforts at developing sports at the grassroots and Rhythm ‘N’ Play is a brand created by NASCOM and will serve as its flagship campaign to drive and revolutionise grassroots sports in Nigeria,” he said.

He added, “Rhythm ‘N’ Play will rely heavily on the use of music, celebrities, volunteers, news media and other elements of pop culture to amplify and realise its objectives. Mr. President launched the campaign on June 6, first in Abuja, and will later on June 14, launch it in London, United Kingdom (UK) targeting the Nigerian youths in Diaspora.
As a popular Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike has been commended from different quarters for fighting for Nigerian people whose rights and voices are trampled upon. Recently, he was also appointed a member of the board of Directors of Institute For Humanitarian Studies And Social Development (IHSD). And not long after that, he was appointed into the Board of Okigwe Zonal Development Authority (OZDA).
His company CIS Movies and Entertainment Limited was recently commissioned by the (IHSD) to organize the first ever Humanitarian Heroes Award.

Meanwhile, only recently, the actor expanded his investment in the education sector by establishing another school in Ghana, which is different from St Nicholas college, his secondary school located in Magodo Estate, Lagos. His school in Ghana which is known as My Academy West Africa, is an affiliate of Ghana’s premier institute National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI), a school he says is founded on the philosophy that “practical learning” combined with best industry practices is more valuable than only theoretical study for filmmakers and actors.

Damilare Okulaja, popularly known as Durella, has dismissed reports that he has signed onto D’banj’s DB Records. However, the ‘King of the Zanga’ revealed that although he is still with Iconic Music, a move to DB Reocrds was imminent.
“I am still signed to Iconic Music but there’s a quest to move to DB Records. I want to pitch my tent in the international scene, that’s why we gave DB Records some consideration.
Speaking about why he has decided to make the switch, the artiste said: “I think it’s a platform for international advancement. I want Sony Records to take over the management of my music career.
“I also want international distribution for my works. D’banj is my friend, I am presently living in his house. We have not signed an official contract, but very soon, it will come to pass.”

Airtel Showdown: The Rubies win the challenge
The Airtel Challenge took place on the great outdoors and all the Chasers got a chance to see each other once again. Hakeem was all too excited to see his lady love, Cleo and he showed this by giving her a passionate kiss.

The other Housemates hugged and chatted among themselves, forgetting that that they were there together because of the challenge.

After a long ten minute challenge, where the two Houses had to shoot and break each other’s hearts, the Rubies came out tops with ten points, beating the Diamonds by a whooping three points. The Rubies owned this challenge.

The excitement of winning the challenge far outweighed the excitement of the Chasers seeing each other on the same ground. The Diamonds were all too sad they lost this challenge because they were very keen on taking this one. But there can only be one winner Diamonds, better luck next time.

Annabel, Biguesas, Natasha, Neyll and Pokello are up for possible Eviction this week. Vote now to keep your favourite Housemate in the game.

Taking Governor Orji round the casualty ward where the injured students were receiving treatment, Dr. Kalu, a medical doctor in charge of the ward said that the accident victims and the dead were brought to the hospital in the morning(13th june)
Dr. Kalu confirmed that their vehicle was said to have been involved in a head-on collision with a lorry at Ikwuano on their way to Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.
Governor Orji sympathized with Nigerian students over the death of the five union executives.
Orji described the incident as “a calamity and sympathetic” even as he cautioned drivers to be more careful while driving, urging them to always maintain manageable speed limit.
The Governor said that the casualty level would have been minimal if the drivers were not on high speed.
According to him, the incident was disheartening as the victims were the future leaders of the country.
Abia state police command confirmed the incident.
However, the villagers were said to have resisted police from removing the corps from the bus, insisting that government authorities must come to see the deplorable condition of the road.
This morning(14th june), I the Admin of 9JA MUST HEAR THIS went to the F.M.C Umuahia to see and hear from the victims. briefing us, one of the  victims when interviewed told me that it was not really the fault of their driver rather it was the trailer driver who left his lane to their own lane in the process of over-taking another car at the sharp bend. comrade Ukwu also made us to understand that they were on their way to negotiate peace when the accident occured.
However, he said that the Governor of Abia State has contributed in consoling them by taking care of their hospital Bill.
we are also pleading to our road users to be very careful while driving because life has no duplicate. at the same time we are also pleading to the Government to do something about that road, that particular place has taken the lives of many people, that place is so sharp that you can never see what is happening ahead of you. and please to our drivers "DO NOT OVER-TAKE AT A SHARP-BEND" .

German Bank Employee Falls Asleep On Keyboard, Transfers Millions

German Bank Employee Falls Asleep On Keyboard, Transfers Millions

A tired German bank employee fell asleep on his keyboard and accidentally transformed a minor transfer into a 222 million euro ($311 million) order, a court heard.

The Hessen labour court heard that the man was supposed to transfer just 62.40 euros from a bank account belonging to a retiree, but instead “fell asleep for an instant, while pushing onto the number 2 key on the keyboard” – making it a huge 222,222,222.22 euro order.

The bank discovered the mistake shortly afterwards and corrected the error.

The case was taken to court by the man’s 48-year-old colleague who was fired for letting the mistake slip through when verifying the order.

The court ruled that the plaintiff should be reinstated in his job.
